OAK Country wide plank, brushed, natural oiled

mafi Oak Country is the epitome of an honest and authentic natural wooden floor. The naturally oiled variant captivates through a warm, sunny oak colouring with characterful dark knots.

The Oak Country is one of the most popular mafi natural wooden floors. We are particularly pleased because we always try to promote awareness for the holistic use of the tree. This includes planks with large knots. It's nice to see that our customers also understand this.

The Oak Country was one of the first mafi natural wooden floors in the Oak segment. The lively planks captivate through the strong surface image which is repeatedly interrupted by dark knots and cracks. Even the name makes it clear that it is the archetype of a country house plank. A real natural wooden floor gives the room a soul, both by the appearance as well as the pleasant wood smell. The brushed surface finish extends this even further with the sense of touch – especially barefoot.

The wide-plank Oak Country, presented here today, is a statement for any room. The width of the planks varies between 155 and 300mm, which support the lively character of the wood. There are also lengths of 4000 or 5000mm. These extreme dimensions can be achieved by the symmetrical construction of mafi planks. Here mafi relies on a three-layer plank construction, where the top and back layers come from the same wood. The middle layer consists of Austrian Pine. The resulting symmetry greatly reduces the swelling and shrinking behaviour of the wood, which also reduces the formation of gaps. Therefore, mafi natural wooden floors are ideal for laying on underfloor heating systems.

mafi uses natural oils for finishing. This has the great advantage that no insulating layer comes on to the wood, but rather the plank is finished from the inside out. In this way, one walks on a mafi natural wooden floor on the wood and not on any sealer. The wood thus remains alive and the floor is always at body temperature. In addition, the floor can absorb water and release it again through the room temperature back into the air - the wood can breathe.
