SWISS STONE PINE, brushed, white oiled

There is a very certain wavelength on which wood, man and health harmoniously find themselves. Sterile and lifeless materials are too often found in modern living spaces. People too often prefer the sterile option over the natural one without realising that this sterilizes the people themselves.

The Swiss Pine, or also known as Stone Pine, stands in for the positive qualities of wood on humans like no other product.

Wood has interacted with mankind since the beginning of time and shares all its positive qualities with its environment - of course, only as long as the natural skin function of the wood is not interrupted with lacquers or vapour locks. Only then can wood provide, in its original state, the natural air exchange or air cleaning in rooms.

The positive effects of wood on man are supported by a study from the Joaneum Research Institute. The Swiss Pine is the focus of scientific experiments in bedrooms and rest rooms. The longitudinal studies confirmed the significant influence of the furnishing materials on both physical and emotional condition. During sleep, a considerably better sleep quality can be seen in the Swiss Pine bed than in comparison with other types of wooden bed. The better night's relaxation is accompanied by a reduced heart rate and increased body vibrations during the day. The average "saving" in the Swiss Pine bed is 3,500 heartbeats per day which corresponds to approximately an hour of heart work.

mafi natural wooden floors follow this creed to 100% and mafi was also therefore the first wooden flooring company which uncompromisingly decided on lacquer-free and therefore natural surface finishing. The secret of a robust and high-quality natural wooden floor is the oiled surface. Due to the oil consisting of completely natural substances, the wood cures from the inside out, the pores remain open, and the wood remains alive. The natural haptic given by the annual rings and the wood grain is brushed during production using different methods. This gives the surface a slightly roughened structure which, besides the natural warmth, displays the typical character of the wood.
