The idea of the Riva Mezzo surface came originally from a desire to make our floors even more noticeable and more tangible. Up until then, the limits of a living appearance had been achieved with hand-planing or a heavily brushed surface. A three-dimensional surface, due to the "scraped" surface of all Riva products, creates a more irregular appearance than for example, those of the Fresco collection. The design is much more reminiscent of old country house planks that have already experienced a lot. With lengths of four or five meters, one achieves an inimitable sense here of having something to do with with history.
It’s exactly these free associations which make the Oak Country Riva Mezzo so exciting. The basis is a regular mafi Oak Country plank, which is as usual finished with natural oils and very stable thanks to its symmetrical three-layer structure. Additionally, the surface is then intensely scraped which in turn leads to the distinctive grooves on the floorboards. Regular cleaning is still not a problem. Troughs are not a challenge for the vacuum cleaner - simply vacuum in the direction of the grooves. The same applies to the damp mopping. The fatty mafi Wooden Floor Soap, in combination with our soft wool cloth mop, binds up dirt particles and can easily be washed out. For furniture we recommend somewhat thicker felt pads to compensate for any unevenness.
