Alpine with style

When it gets colder outside, many people get the need to see the first snow and the associated longing for the mountains.

A place which, far above the borders of Austria, really conveys this feeling is Kitzbühel in Tyrol.

The ‘Mountain Goat City’, best known for perhaps the world's most demanding downhill race and the large number of celebrities, has an impressive number of four and five star hotels.

Particularly worth mentioning is the Stanglwirt, and has been for over 400 years. This luxurious five star hotel has always relied on natural materials - and above all on local woods. The alpine style fits perfectly into the concept of a modern bio and wellness hotel.

mafi has already delivered the perfect basis for the hotel’s rooms. The wide planks of the mafi Larch are very imposing with lengths of five meters and widths of up to 300 mm. The width of the Farmhouse style planks vary in this case from 155 mm to 300 mm. This gives the entire floor area a vibrant, authentic appearance, and is fully integrated in mafi’s internal value system for resource-saving products. The use of the whole tree, with all its individual characteristics, is an integral part of a mafi natural wooden floor.
