Job Summary:

mafi sells products through our own stores and through various authorized mafi partners. Our clients are end--users, architects, designers, developers, contractors and other industry professionals. Simply, people who are attracted, acquired, retained and serviced either by mafi Partners or mafi sales force. He or she is held accountable for sales performance by providing excellent customer service, giving product demonstrations to consumers, architects and designers. Beyond that a mafi Ambassador develops a regional sales network on his own and in co-operation with Partners and subordinated mafi Sales Agents. 

 

 

Key Qualifications:

Experience in wood flooring external sales (minimum 2-3 years).
Business acumen. 
Strong problem-solving skills. 
Attention to detail is a must.
Executing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Willingness to be flexible is key.
Regular travel required.
Extraordinary customer service skills.
Adaptive and solution based approach to selling.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Strong presentation / group demo skills.
Ability to translate “techno speak” into layman’s terms.
Proven self-starter with entrepreneurial flair.
Strong interpersonal skills are a must, along with the ability to have fun in a team setting!

Description:

The mafi Ambassador operates literally as true ambassador of the mafi brand. As such, it is the Ambassadors responsibility to maintain the quality and appearance of all mafi exhibitions in order to give the customer and industry professionals the best possible mafi experience according to mafi standards. To spread the word of mafi effectively and efficient the Ambassador trains and coordinates subordinated Sales Agents. 

The Ambassador has the following responsibilities to fulfil as they relate to several different audiences: 
End-user / Architects and Designers / Industry Professionals / Sales Agents 

 

 

 

Responsibilities include:

Providing an excellent mafi customer experience,
Processing inquiries, 
Providing sales training to Sales Agents and coordinating them (up to 5), 
Promoting mafi products and solutions by communicating the benefits and values of the products through product demonstrations, 
Conducting one on one and one on many product demonstrations using sophisticated sales material and POS (Point of Sale) tools such as brochures, price book, explorer sample kit / sample boards, the mafi.com webpage and the "why mafi" guidance system, 
Finalizing sales contracts,
Monitoring of incoming payments, 
Organizing the installation with a mafi certified installer, 
Placing orders and 
After sales care ...

 … at the local mafi store or in the field.

+ Surplus:

Must have demonstrated strong commitment to one’s business, with a history of driving better business results through the acquisition of loyal key business Partners.
Relationship skills to acquire potential mafi Partners and Sales Agents is a must. 
Supporting the sale with installation and product specific know-how.
Ensuring that all merchandising elements (including demo content) especially hand-samples and sample-boards are up to date and follow mafi standards.
Flag to his or her referred Senator (Sales Force Manager) any maintenance issues with any mafi merchandizing execution at the place of exhibition.

Education: 

BA preferred, MBA desirable

 

Additional Requirements: 

Customer oriented self-starter with strong attention to detail and follow up and a flexible and adaptive approach. 
Team player with a positive attitude, empathizing with multiple points of view but able to make the hard call and move on.
Comfortable breaking what’s not broken, looking for alternatives and never stopping asking why.
