Passive Design and wood floors

Durability, energy efficiency and healthy living - all of these themes combine under the term Passive Design, and can be supported with wood floors.

There we present, among other things, the special mafi surface treatment which makes the improvement of the room climate possible.

What is Passive Design?

It's all about an architectural approach that deals with natural elements in order to achieve positive effects for each project. Often, it resorts to sunlight by means of solar technology. The effects of this concept unfold in the fields of heating, cooling, lighting and room climate.

What do wood floors contribute to Passive Design?

Specifically, the area of influence of the room climate can be very positively affected by natural wood floors. The open-pored surface of mafi natural wood floors allow for a relatively high proportion of water during cleaning. The water, mixed with mafi wood floor soap, penetrates and cleans the floor literally down to the pores. The residual moisture remains in the wood and is gradually transferred to the room air. This sustainably improves the entire room climate.

Roadshow titled "Well Living" currently in the United States.

We are currently visiting different events in the United States with our sales representative Walter Lourie. There we present, among other things, the special mafi surface treatment which makes the improvement of the room climate possible. In general, we highlight the healthy and sustainable production process which ensures mafi wood floors are a green product.
